The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee inquiry on Science and Heritage called for the production of a strategy. Work on this has been underway since October 2008 and the strategy has now been published (March 2010). Over the last year we have produced three reports which provide the evidence base for the strategy. These reports are still available on this website. In November we held a stakeholder meeting to discuss our initial strategic thoughts with the sector. Responses from this meeting were used to refine our vision and strategy. Through this website you can find out more about the strategy and its development over the last year.
March 2009 - NHSS Vision and Strategy published
Our 'vision and strategy for heritage science' has now been published. It is available to download from our documents now. If you would like to receive a hard copy version of this document, please contact the NHSS coordinator.
One of the recommendations of our vision and strategy is the creation of a National Heritage Science Forum to assist in the implementation of our strategic objectives. More details about the forum and the future direction of the NHSS project will appear on these pages in the coming months
